Rip-Off Painting Contractor in, PA

I had the misfortune to work for this guy. His name is Mike Wilke, of Wilke Painting. I only worked for this guy for one week, but at the end of that week when his partner blew up on me for being 7 minutes late due to traffic, I realized that I no longer wanted to work for these two —certainly not if that's the kind of attitude to expect each time there was a problem. I then asked to be paid, but they claimed they would mail my check. That never happened, so I continued calling.

The next week they said they would meet me in front of a department store at a certain time; they didn't show up. This was over 2 years ago, and to this day I still have not been paid. Of course, I filed a complaint with the DJ, then it ended up going to Arbitration, yet again this guy didn't show up. I won the case, but that almost meant nothing.

I filed various paperwork against him, but for now that's the last thing I did, because so far, I haven't even been able to confirm that this bastard even lives at the address he claims he lives at. I tried sending a restricted letter once, but he didn't retrieve it, on purpose... Probably knowing that if he did retrieve it, it would be an official acknowledgement. I even had the Sheriff's Dept try to serve this guy with a subpoena, but low and behold, he removed his name from his mailbox in order to block service of the subpoena.

In my view he's a scumbag in every sense of the word... And even looks like he's the result of the union of two drug-heads from Woodstock. Anyone immoral enough to pull the kind of crap he did in order not to pay someone for the work they did is in my opinion someone you just don't want to know.

Let's get it straight though... This guy only owed me less than $400, and could have paid me back when he had the chance, but instead he chose to be a thieving jerk. And now, thanks to our lousy court system and all the damn fees I've paid, he now owes me over $900. Wish I knew how to get my money.

Our court system blows. They seem to me to be specifically designed to collect legal fees, and nothing more. Justice? Yeah right. That doesn't even fit into the picture.
