Update: No Follow-Up by MD DLLR re Fraudulent License Claim

After twice notifying the Maryland Dept. Of Labor, Licensing & Regulation, VIP continues to advertise in several internet ads that the company is a licensed entity.in fact, owner/operator Steve Rice has not been licensed for 3 years. Testimonials on the website are self written using fictitious names; the photos belong to someone else and don't reflect work performed by the unlicensed contractor.
Since they haven't prevented Mr. Rice from continuing to make false assertions, I can only assume that DLLR is uninterested in pursuing unlicensed contractors.in several Internet ads, Mr. Rice claims:
(1) To be Licensed. Actually, he lost his license 3 years ago.
(2) To have "Honesty, Integrity & Dependability.in fact, he abandoned a prepaid remodel project and was forced under threat of action by DLLR to return to the site and complete the project; misrepresented his business location, his abilities and experience as a contractor; absconded with advanced payments; used relatives to provide references.
MD DLLR has a license search function on its website. The license number provided by Mr. Rice on his website is invalid: MHIC# 100851
