Complete ripoff quoted $900 given bill for $2498! Rude and nasty hoodlums! Do not use this company!

Called Neighbors moving to get a quote on moving my furniture etc from Davie Fl to SW Ranches which is approx 15 miles. I had moved a month prior and was charged $900 but that mover who is excellent, was busy this time. Neighbors answered the phone and quoted me $900 as I had requested and said, "we will send you two truck which will be faster and it won't cost you any more money because the move will be done in less time". They arrived an hour early at 8am and my wife and 22 year old daughter were home. After googling my wife and daughter, my wife called in a panic and told me to please come home because she didn't feel comfortable with these hoodlum looking guys that they had sent out. I had to come back home form work to deal with this. When I arrived they gave me a receipt to sign saying that it would be $168/hour for the move. I asked their "leader' to look at the contents of the house and let me know by his experience how long it would take an he said 'inside 5 hours". I signed and told them to proceed. It was 9am. When the trucks arrived at the new location 15 miles away, it was around 12:30 pm. I arrived around 1 pm and saw them sitting on the ground behind the truck. I asked them what they were doing and they said that they were waiting to be paid BEFORE they dropeed off the belongings. I was then handed a bill for $2498!!! $389 for gasoline (15 miles). $447 for 7 cardboard boxes and 10 rolls of tape! I told their leader that I was quoted $900 and he casually said to call his "boss'. I called the "boss" and expplained the situation and he said "there is not much we can do". I then threatened him with lawsuits, TV exposure etc and after arguing with me for about a half hour, telling me that he just "fired" the guy that gave me the quote and negotiating like HE WAS DOING ME A FAVOR, he said that they would do $1750!! I ended up giving him $1700 in cash to get them out of there and he said that they would not "Build the beds or anything" because of the adjusted price. Now, mind you, they quoted $900 for this move! I gave them a $100 deposit when I contracted them! They made me give them $1700 CASH by holding my furninshings as hostage. They broke many things (China, vases, scratched furniture etc) and just dumped everything in the garage on top of each other! Crushed boxes, broken items... A nightmare!
