Bought TV new 2007; worked great for three months. Then it began turning itself off for 10-20 seconds, and then back on. Within six months, we started to see irregularly shaped shadows on screen. They burned themselves permanently into place.in the past year, when the set is turned on, the screen fills itself with vertical color bars. At first, this was a minor irritation, as the screen would clear up within a minute. Now, the TV must be turned on at least an hour before trying to watch anything. We will be replacing this Samsung this winter with another brand; no more Samsung TV sets in this house... We do have a Samsung dishwasher and french-door refrigerator; no real complaints on either of these yet.
