Handyman Club of America
One of 2 tools not received. Was sent unrequested book and billed $10.00

Construction & Repair

I responded to an offer of two free tool with my two year subscription to Handy magazine for $24.00. Only after receiving my payment did they send one (very cheap) screw extractor set. Shortly thereafter, I received a book in the mail. It was very informative on various subjects with which all homeowners should be familiar. Approximately two to three weeks later, I received a bill for $10.00. I set it aside and it got lost. When the second notice arrived, I called the number on the invoice to try to straighten out the problem, but coulon't reach a 'live' person. I finally slogged through their 'electronic telephonic maze' and arrived at an option which credited my account for the invoiced amount, leaving me owing nothing.
