Shasta Pool
Poor workmanship

Construction & Repair

Shasta Pools is a terrible company. My wife and I moved into our home in October. Prior to us purchasing the home, we met the previous owners and they were more than nice enough to explain a few technically areas regarding the pool and spa. The first thing they pointed out was the salt water system (Quickchlor) had not worked in almost two years. I probably should mention the home was built in 2007 and the pool was built soon after that. They gave no reason. I am guessing they were not provided one from Shasta. I contacted Shasta and asked them about fixing the system. Apparently the warranty was not transferable. Besides, the parts only had a 1 year manufacturer warranty.

The previous owners also paid Shasta to build them an out door fire pit, BBQ, and sitting area area
Everything is falling apart. A few months ago, my wife and I cam home and noticed the stone surrounding the water feature has begun falling off and into the pool. The same was true for the fire pit and BBQ. Each of those areas had decorative stone and that too began coming loose and falling off. The adhesive under the brick pavers around the pool has also started to loosen. The grout is chipping out, it is ridiculous.

The in-floor cleaning system does not work properly. The dirt does not get pushed to the center drain the way it is supposed to be. I am not sure if the is a mechanical issue or a design flaw. I suspect both with the emphasis on the design flaw.

Please do yourself a favor and do not buy a Shasta Pool. Their workmanship is sub-par. The do not stand behind any of their work. The bottom line is they build a bad pool.
