Pete employee stole money from our company to open his own company that is not even licensed! Beware!

"Bob" came into our Kintson office on May 31 wanting to know when we would be completing the concrete to start building he had bought from us on May 10th. We had no record of this building... Kenneth Osborne better known as "Pete" had went out to his home with him after "Bob" and his wife came to buy a building.

The manager of our Kinston location then recalled the day. "Pete" followed the couple to their home to see what size they would need and if dirt would be required as "Pete" did many times. When he returned Our Manager was told the couple wasn't ready... It would be a while before they had the money together and complained about them wasting our time...
Come to find out they had sealed a deal the day "Pete" had came out. Signed a contract and gave a deposit with a check. Poor customers didn't realize that he had them write a check in a totally different name. It was written to "East Coast Metal Structure's". Our business name is TarHeel Metal Structure's,

The customer assured us he had no idea and I am sure he didn't either, We showed him what our contract looked like and he said yep that is it I have it at home and will bring it. GUESS WHAT when he found it it does look just like our all but the name... ONCE AGAIN he changed the name on our contracts and put this "east coast metal structure's" on it.

When confronted about this by the officers it was told he says he wasn't employed by us when it happen... We have a copy of the check, the manger recalls him leaving on this day, and we have the pay stub where we paid Kenneth Osborn for the day of work... The customer wrote the check as a deposit on building... WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED???

BEWARE of the Add in your paper with this " Family Owned and Operated East Coast Metal Structure's".. They are not a Licensed business. They have not registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State's Office. Check first... They are not registered with Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce nor the Tax department..
