I am representing my brother, who hired these yahoos. I am an attorney, but I don't handle this type of work. My deluge of letters and phone calls to these people will begin tomorrow.
Similar to the other stories here, he hired these people because he could save money. They shoved paper under his nose and demanded he sign, as they were leaving his home with his belongings. They demanded all payment in cash or money orders, which makes me suspect that the I.R.S. And California Revenue Board might be interested in looking at their records. They demanded an extra $1000 for a "packing fee", allegedly in order to assure the property would arrive intact.
They refused to give him a solid date for delivery. When the promised "week-long window" had come and gone, someone on the phone told him that the items were still "in transit". This was over a month after the items had been shipped.
Two weeks after the end of the "window", the delivery finally took place.
He is missing a substantial number of items. He has some items that don't belong to him. [Website people, contact me and perhaps we can find the true owners of the items, because they may want them back.] The items he did receive were thrashed. The box containing his fax machine/printer, as an example, looks like it was fed through a wood chipper. All damages have been documented.
They list a USDOT license number 952980. I plan to see what I can do about getting that little item revoked.
I am an avenging angel, currently masqerading as an at-home mommy. I take it very personally when someone abuses my beloved brother. I fully plan to bring the fires of Hell down on the heads of these people, in every way, shape, and form that I can possibly imagine.
