Ripoff wanting to get paid twice Illnois

I made a account with fingerhut about three to four years ago I did recieve my things amd they where nice but we got behind on the payments this was after they turn into something like a credit card company well my bill went from 306 to over 600.00 dollars I told them i wasn't going to pay such a crazy bill while they finally agreed to take the 300.00 and some dollars and my accout would be closed and every would be fine well about a month ago they stated i was to pay this law firm 306.00

SO I first called them they said I would have to send proof and a letter to stop being billed well when I payed the first bill it was with a check by phone to a diffrent law firm and I am not sure I can get the proof since it was so long ago and a check by phone the only reason I payed this way is I was told it would take care of it (DON'T EVER DO THIS!!!) AND ANY WAY i RECIEVE ANOTHER LETTER FROM THEM WANTING THIS PAYMENT IT JUST ISN'T FAIR THEY CAN LIE AND CHEAT PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY WHEN YOU TRY TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND THEY RIP YOU OFF! I would never use this company again!!
