Continue to bill after authorized cancellation

During April I called ProAlert to cancel my contract which had reached the end of its mandatory 2 year period. Paul at ProAlert said I had the right to cancel. I faxed this in writing to them the same day, twice.
Paul ordered the "Communicator" removed, which was done by a private contract during the last 30 days or so.
During the past two weeks I received a billing for 2 months, a little over $60. I faxed back to them a note as to my proper cancellation and they have not responded.
I think they will use a collector against me to try to validate their crooked way of doing business.
