Dana Does not warranty items he installs in your home

On 6/09 Dana came to my home and charged $600.00 to replace a hot water heater. On 1/28 I called him to ask him what could possibly be wrong with a hot water heater that was replaced in 2009 he said it sounds like its not getting power, so my husband replaced the breaker, still no hot water. I called Dana back and asked him to come look at it. He sent an employee and the employee said yes we definately need to replace this hot water heater its all rusted out, he took the paper that was on the unit that had the serial number on it and said he would return in about an hour or hour and half after confirming with Dana about the receipt. Thirty minutes later the employee calls back and says he has to charge me $200.00 to replace the old unit, I said you already confirmed it with Dana that there would be no charge, he said sorry but I have to charge you. I called Dana and he confirmed that he had to charge to replace the unit that he put in a year and a half ago, he said he could not warranty the item, it would be like taking a hot water heater back to lowes and expecting them to swap one out for you, no I cannot do this for you for free, what do you take me for an idiot? I informed him I needed that paper that his employee took off of the hot water heater, and after arguing with me for a half an hour he said he himself would bring that paper back to me, but good luck getting it exchanged because you have to be a licensed plummer to do business with the people he got the original unit from, and he also informed me he has an attorney. Do not do business with this man if you expect him to back up his work or the items he installs in your home. Major RipOff.
