Voids warranty for U.S. Military serving overseas

I recently purchased a 564 pet series Roomba. I pulled it out of the box, followed the directions for setup and charged it over night. The next morning I tried it out and found the right wheel wont operate properly and we were given an error 10 message the Roomba just spins in circles. My wife called customer service and after about 10 minutes of troubleshooting was told there was a problem with the Roomba and it needed to be replaced. The NEXT sentence out of the customer
service rep's mouth was that the warranty was void because we took it out of the United States.

I am a U.S. Army officer stationed in Germany (this was explained to customer service). I purchased the Roomba from
amazon.com and had it shipped to my APO address which is a U.S. Postal address - delivered to a U.S. Post office, located on a U.S. Military post.

Bottom line: iRobot will not honor my warranty because the product was shipped to where I live overseas - serving in the U.S. Military.
