Furniture arrived damaged, won't issue refund

I ordered a dining room set from efurnitureshowroom and it was delivered in 3 boxes (1 for the table & 2 for the chairs). The boxes appeared undamaged, although the table box was mummified in packing tape. I signed for everything and got the boxes in the house.

20 minutes later when I finally got all the packing tape off, I opened the table box and found that the table was damaged. It looked like a forklift blade had gone through the box & into the table, but the cut on the box was noticeable until all the packing tape was removed.

Called the company & told them what happened. They asked if I had written 'damaged' on the invoice. Told them no because you couldn't tell the box was damaged until the tape was removed. They asked that I send pictures of the box & table, which I did. They said they would arrange to have the damaged table picked up & a replacement delivered.

The replacement arrived first, but the box was noticeably damaged. The driver and I opened it and one of the corners was damaged, so I refused the shipment. Called the company & let them know what happened. They put through an order for another replacement & said they were still waiting on the shipper to let them know how they wanted to handle the 1st damaged table.

Today I get an email from the company stating that I have to pay an additional $240 to have the damaged table picked up before they will send my replacement & told me it was my fault because I didn't write 'damaged' on the invoice. Also told me I would have known that I had to do this if I would have read the Terms & Conditions on their website. I told them I wanted to cancel my order & they could refund me credit card and they actually refused to refund my card! Now I've had to dispute the charge with AmEx and file a complaint with the BBB.
