Never Filled Orde

In February of responding to an email special offer from Eldred Wheeler, I placed an order for two small chests which were marketed as a special: buy two and receive a discount. Also, the chests were marketed as ideal for bed-side use (the purpose for which I was buying them). At the time of order (February) a down payment of 50% of the total order cost was required. Eldred Wheeler indicated that the chests would be ready for delivery by the middle of May. As the end of May approached, I had not heard from Eldred Wheeler, and after many, many attempts to connect with them, I finally connected with a customer service representative who said the chests would be delivered in the next two weeks.

Two weeks went by - nothing. Again, after several attempts, I finally connected, and I was told the chests would be ready by the end of July. Again, nothing - and, I was told they would be ready by the end of August. Nothing - again, I was told they would be ready by end of September. Again, I heard nothing from them. And, after several attempts, the customer service rep said one of the two chests were ready and they would deliver the chest by early September. The chest was delivered in early October and I was promised that the second chest would be ready in a few weeks. Of course, a few weeks went by and no second chest. After countless attempts to connect with them again, I connected with a senior executive who told me the chest would be ready in December. As December approached, I contacted this senior executive and he told me that he could not promise when the chest would ever get in to production. I asked for my money back and that they pick up the one chest they had delivered. This senior executive promised they would arrange a pick up and would reimburse me the money I had spent.

Well, it is now mid- January and they have never returned my subsequent calls to see when they were going to live up to the last commitment of paying me bakc and picking up the one chest. Fundamentally, I feel that I have been duped - I am left with one chest that I don't want and out a considerable sum of money. I would very strongly advise any one considering ordering furniture with Eldred Wheeler to reconsider and NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A DISREPUTABLE AND DISHONEST company.
