I recently upgraded my plasma TV from a 46" Sony to a 58" Samsung. I was very happy with Sony, it simply wasn't large enough. After getting the new Samsung home and attempting to route the sound through my surround sound speakers the "Audio Out" jack on the TV worked for about 10 seconds. The speakers are good due to their working with the DVD. The TV also has a static type line completely across the top of the tv screen.
I applied for a service call and receiver a call from the authorized service center, who scheduled an appointment. The day prior to the appointment I received an EMAIL from Samsung stating to call, that the appointment had been cancelled. I called and after a lengthly converstion another appointment was made for a week later.

I then received another call from the service rep. Stating they could keep the appointment, that the service rep ahd the parts. After showing up about 45 minutes late, the service tech advised me he did not have the part and would need to return.
BOTTOM LINE: SAMSUNG'S SERVICE SUCKS!

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product regardless of their reputation.
They second guessed me when I reported my problem and contacted me via email when they have both of my contact numbers
