On their website, myorlandoac.com, this company 'Facility Pro Tech' advertised "FREE Diagnostic Check up with repair". I called them up because other companies have high diagnostic prices and I knew I was going to need some kind of repair.

I called them up and got it fixed, they just had to replace a circuitboard - no big deal. I agree on the phone with the supervisor to pay $475 for the labor and the part. When I was given the receipt to sign, I saw $89.99 'Diagnostic fee'.

They refused to remove that, and I was connected to the supervisor who said that 'we had agreed to $475 and that's what they were charging me'. After I told him that they couldn't charge me this extra for $90 for something I had not agreed to pay for, he tells the worker to take the part back. The worker was rude, and Don, the supervisor on the phone, was nasty, accusing me of wanting a repair and laughing in my face.

They shut off the electricity for my AC and removed the part and just left! Now my AC doesn't work at all, at least before it was doing something. These are not nice people, and their deals are scams meant to get families that are stuck in the heat. Once you call them, they'll overcharge and refuse to honor their own deals.
