Kraft Maid Cabinetry
Poor Quality and Poor response 15535 S. State Avenue

I have just purchased kitchen cabinets from Kraft Maid and am very disappointed with the product finish. Many doors have bubbles in the stain and are rough to the touch. The staining is very uneven. I have two drawer faces that are not the same as the ones I ordered. Some cabinet doors or obviously warped. There are glue and stain smears, one smear is shaped exactly like a hand.

I contacted my dealer, the Kraft Maid rep came out and other than the drawer faces he basically told me that is just the way it is. He assured me though that last week he saw a kitchen that was much worse. I did ask him to tell me where I could see a display kitchen with this many flaws — he could or would not provide that information. I expect quality consistent with display product and documentation.

Has anyone else had similar problems? Does anyone have any expereince resolving this type of issue? I had hoped that Kraft Maid would step up to the problem immediately and replace parts that need replacing and/or do repairs. It appears based on the reps comments that I will need to fight this, does anyone have any useful input.
