Bimal Jham deception excessive delays substandard work refusal to reimburse lying refusal to take calls or answer emails

Small office fit-out was awarded to the contractor on April 24th after assurances that they were duely registered contractors (turns out they were not). The contractor was fired on July 24th after 3 months of lies, delays, and sub-standard work.

Of the work started on site (value approx. USD 7500 over total contract USD 13'000) the cost of finalising and repairing their work is approx. Usd 6000. To say nothing of the cost of formalities to replace the contractor and submit correct drawings to authorities. It goes without saying that these unjustified delays caused consequential damages such as rental of storage, paying rent on a space we cannot use, delayed company launch, etc.

In brief, Electrical cables placed without tubing behind dry walls, incorrect cable coding, no provisions for doors, security lighting covered up, technical drawings submitted to authorities do not comply with site, requests for samples, explanations were just shrugged off, emails never answered, phone calls never returned etc etc.

This company took my money as a contractor and are totally incapable of running the smallest site (1000sq ft) or even organising two different teams of artisans. They are incapable of completing formalities on time or even correctly.

Request to have my deposit returned remain unanswered, their trash is still lying around the site (including decomposing food).

I will be seeking legal advice against this company as well as their employeed for full consequential damages that amount to considerably more than the cost of work supposedly done to date.

I simply hope this post may stop someone from trusting this person or company.
