Breaks your pool so they can fix it

This company has serviced my pool for over 5 years, they have emptied it twice for repairs the past 3 springs. This year, while opening the pool they knocked the drain cover off the bottom skimmer. No one mentioned this to me that day the work was done. I recieved a "proposal" in the mail offering to make my drain "compliant" at a cost of $400! The drain cover itself was only $70, the balance was labor or we could drain the pool and it would be less but of course we would have the cost of re-filling the pool, approx $400! When I called to get some feedback from the company I got a nasty email from the owner calling me a lair and telling me I broke the cover off or it wasn't installed correctly. Funny, they worked on this all those years and never mentioned I was non-compliant or that I had a drain that wasn't attached correctly. When I asked why they would treat a long time customer like this I got no replay. Believe, we spent well over $10k over the years with this company, never had any problems. They send a new crew this spring and now I'm looking for a new pool company. It's unbelivable to me that after all this time with them that they would treat us this way. Currently I have a large hole on the bottom of my pool where the drain cover needs to be.in addition, they did some "repairs" to my pump last year and now the connections leak and they do not take responsibility for that damage either and no one knows how to work the part they installed. What a joke.
