Firestone autocare scams their customers

I recently took my acura TL 07 to firestone to get repaird because my car was making a loud noise when I turn my wheels. They told me that the power steering rack was leaking. I paid 980 dollars to get it fixed. After i got my car back, i started to hear a whispering sound at 2-3k rpm. It sounds as if my car door wasnt closed all the way and you can hear the wind blowing from outside. I took the car back and they told me the sound was caused by a broken catalic convertor. So they refused to fix the sound because it wasnt related to the power steering. They told me get the cat replaced which will cost me another 700 dollars and also told me to change my timing belt/water pump because it needs to be changed out at 60k. I thought something was fishy, so I took my car to the acura dealership, and they told me that nothing was wrong with the cat converter. And also that i dont need to change my belt until 105k (my car is at 65k). Acura told me that the cat converter has a 80k warranty. Firestone just tried to scam me 1400 dollars, and now im starting to think that they scammed me on the power steering rack that i had replaced through them. The acura tech said, what usually causes the sound is because the power steering fluid is low. The rack does not usually break down at 65k, usually at 100k. If it does, its not very common. I went back to firestone and asked them why they recommonded on two serviced which i never needed. One guy blames it on their computer and the other said, thats what the technichian suggested. I asked for the original power steering frame that they switched out, and they told me they aready got rid of it. I probably could have gotten that fixed just by topping it off with more steering liquid or change out a tubing that could have costed me less then 80 dollars.
