Tri-State Basement Systems They take deposit and don't show up for work! They are a rip off!

We gave their salesperson a required deposit to start work in our cellar water problem and they refuse to start. We have recently learned that they have been sued by their landlord for not paying their rent for 8 months and are being evicted! The office girl told us that they couldn't start because everyone's on "lay-off" because they are being evicted! They have $3500 of our money! She also told us that they are having really bad financial issues, the owner spends his time in South Carolina and doesn't care about the Vermont company. She said the owner is having marital problems for infidelity with his sister in law??? How is this our fault? Why do we need to know this? We were told that they are moving into a "shack" that the owner's Father owns a few miles away and they can't start our job until mid to late January! This is a pile of CRAP! We have filed a complaint with the Attny General's office and are meeting with a lawyer. Do not, under any circumstances, give these people a deposit!!!
