Refuses to honor written warranty that cost $200 total rip-off

I purchased all my living and dining room furniture from Ashley Furniture Homestore 3020 Market Place Ave. Bryant, Arkansas 72022 (501) 687-0409 on 10/12/02 and also purchased the 5 yr. Stainsafe Comprehensive Furniture Care Plan that cost $199.95.

It clearly states on my written warranty that breakage, accidental scratches, gouges, dents, chipping, etc. Is covered under this warranty. It also states that as long as the customer reports the damage within five days from the date it occurrs they will have the item serviced by a professional technician at no charge in customer's home.

On Tuesday Dec. 2 I contacted Stainsafe to report some scratches that had occurred over the Thanksgiving weekend (within five days from the occurrence). I had some very small scratches on my coffee table and two endtables. I also had a dent in the side of my dining table possibly from someone at Thanksgiving dinner. I also reported that one of the lights in my hutch had gone out over the weekend and would not work even with a new bulb.

The lady took all my information and then told me my claim was denied because I was reporting more than one or two pieces of furniture even though they are all covered under the warranty!

A total rip-off!!!
