Non-compliant in delivering purchase and delivered damaged goods

I am writing this report on behalf of my mom Diane Patrick who is unable to prepare this report. My mom made a purchase at Petra Furniture Corp in early April purchasing a living room set that came with an ottoman. At the time the purchase had to be ordered so my mom left a 20% down payment and made arrangements with the store manager Nofal to pay the balance when the furniture was delivered to the store. At this point my mom was told that the furniture would be in, in approximately 8 days and that she would receive a phone call when the furniture was there. On the 8th day my mom did not receive a phone call so she decide to stop by the store at this time she was informed that the item had still not come in and to check back the following day. When following up the next day the furniture had still not come in and she was informed that it would be another 2 weeks. After 2 weeks waiting time mom then went into the store again to inquire about the furniture and she was at this time informed that it was on back order and not available so she was given the option to choose another living room set when doing this it was explained to my mom that this set was available and that delivery would arrive the same week. My mom called in to inquire delivery on Friday and was told delivery would take place on Tuesday of the following week, Tuesday finally comes and delivery was made. The delivery included a sectional living room set as ordered but no ottoman and the furniture was damaged. My mom immediately called in to make a complaint about not receiving the complete order and also about the damaging affects of the new furniture. The stores manager then informed that the ottoman was not available and would be delivered the following week and promised ti send someone out to repair the damage on the furniture. After a week still no ottoman but a repair man did come over to repair the the damage on the sofa, the damage however was permanent. After 2 weeks passing no ottoman was delivered and the store never contacted to inform otherwise so my mom and i make a visit to the store and at this time we were informed that the ottoman was on backorder and would take another month to be delivered, mom at this time asked to be refunded for the ottoman but was told to come back the following week for a refund. My mom and i went back to the store on May 17 and the store manager at this time tried to persuade my mom to wait for the delivery but the the purchase was all wrong from the beginning and my mom just wanted to end the dispute. The total price for the living set and ottoman came to $1756 in which $5o was for delivery, my my was refunded $140 for the ottoman, no apology for the inconvenience, no phone call to inform about delays or anything and overall a damaged incomplete living room set.
