Bait and Switch - tires

I purchased 2 Goodyear ComforTred tires on line that were advertised for $121. I got a confirmation and email stating that someone would notify within 24 hours to let me know when tires would be available at store. After 48 hours, I attempted to contact online to get status and to point out that it was the wrong store I requested. No one could find my order. After no one would respond to my questions on line, I asked for number to call. Called the number and was disconnected twice by Sears employees. Finally got through to someone who told me the order couldn't be found because Customer Service does not have access to ANY automotive orders. Got call back and was told to call the store. I would have expected that the STORE WOULD CALL ME SINCE THEY HAD ALREADY CHARGED MY MASTERCARD. Called the store and was told that Sears doesn't have tires ordered ANYWHERE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. Asked why I was not informed of this from the beginning and was told that they didn't know why. THEN TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, I asked why the store hadn't called me and I was told that they were trying to figure out WHAT OTHER TIRE THEY WOULD SELL TO ME!!! Needless to say, I asked for refund, which I will check MasterCard daily to see that it comes through. This sounds like a "bait and switch" deal. From what I've seen on the internet, it is done all over the country, along with damage to vehicles when the people back out of the deal along with reports of dry rot tires sold on these "fantastic deals" that Sears is offering online. I am now extremely relieved that i never got the tires. Now let's see how long it actually takes them to get this off my card.
