I purchased 18 stock fluorescent light fixtures from Galaxie Lighting and when I brought them back to the job I was informed by my electrician that they did not meet local codes (no cover on the bulb). I returned the lights to Galaxie Lighting and they informed me that I would have to pay a 50% restocking fee (almost $700) I offered to pay a reasonable restocking fee of 10-15%, but told them 50% was unreasonable for a stock light fixture. To date I have received no refund whatsoever and it has been almost two months. The company grew hostile when I informed them that I would be posting my experience with consumer groups. I was called names including "prick", "stupid", "immature", and others. I received threats and harassing emails from the owner and his employee. I highly recommend you find another lighting store or light fixture company that has better consumer policies.
