Beware of Rodney Doray of Boothbay and Augusta Maine!
He's a very good talker, but we've learned that he's not honest, either with customers, or his workers. He's left us (in the winter) with an unfinished roof and the ceilings in our house ruined. It's been over a month and a half since he started, we foolishly paid him when he asked for an advance thinking that he needed to pay his workers. We discovered that he'd been dishonest about money coming in once the job was complete so his worker (s) have left. He's abandoned his wife and young daughter and is in the process of a divorce, so his assets are tied up. We actually thought that some of our money was going to his childcare payments. He's a real "piece of work" and I'd caution anyone who is considering hiring Rodney for any project.
We are taking steps to place liens on whatever property he may own and are filing this report so that others won't have to deal with this rip off artist.
I'm not including my contact information because I don't think he would hesitate to try to intimidate us in order to prevent us from taking legal action against him.
