Kirby Lying & pushy salesman came to my house uninvited Sydney

My experience with Phoenix home care started off when my husband answered the door to a young friendly girl, who wanted our details to enter us into the draw to win $1000. This was on a Sunday afternoon. I caught the end of the conversation as my husband was giving our phone number...& we were told if we didnt hear from them in a few weeks that we had not won & to throw out the green ticket that we were given which said the draw would be in August but I suspected that this was a Kirby scam & she denied this to my face. Well I got a phone call the very next day from a very friendly& pushy girl who offered to come to my house & clean a lounge or carpet for FREE, well the girl who came to my door had not mentioned this would happen. I told the girl on the phone that I WAS NOT INTERESTED & she insisted on making an appointment to come I again said NO, but she said she would call back another day. She did call back on the Thursday afternoon & was pushy again & harassing me to make a time for them to come, I had to hang up as I DID NOT want to continue the conversation..
Well at 5.30pm on the Friday afternoon a white unmarked van (not very professional) turned up in my driveway & 2 men got out, one dressed casually, the other dressed in a suit, the fellow in the suit came to my door, I am glad that I have a security screen door as I had NO IDEA who this could be. He introduced himself as been from Phoenix home care (however he did not offer any ID, I should have asked) & reckoned that I had made an appointment for them to come at 5.30pm, how could have I done this when I had HUNG UP on them the day before this? When I politely told him SEVERAL times that I was not interested in having my lounge or carpet cleaned he kept being VERY PUSHY & would not go away, I was about to close the timber door on him, but my husband was very irritated when he heard what was going on, so he also told him to go away but was not polite! What would you have done if your partner was being HARRASSED by a pushy door to door salesman?
3 minutes later we get ANOTHER HARRASSING phone call from Phoenix home care to check what had happened, I answered the call & my husband soon took over & explained why he was not polite to the salesman & that they were not to contact us ever again or we will report them to FAIR TRADING.
This company needs to be investigated for their deceiptful practices to protect the unsuspecting people in our community.
