Pete Finegan Stormguard Exteriors took our deposit and ran... Never did any work! Philadelphia

Stormguard Exteriors offered us a proposal to replace our roof. We accepted the proposal and gave them half the money ($2,700) upfront to start. That was back in December. For the next three months we called to try to get a start date for the work.

Over that three month period we were offered every excuse for them not doing the work... The weather, the crew was on another job, they were coming next week. Towards the end of the three months, they just stopped returning our calls.

We sent them a registered letter in March — which we got notice they received — telling them we wanted our money back and that they had not fulfilled their contract with us because they had not done any of the work agreed upon in the proposal.

We never heard from them. We sued them in District Court. They did not show up for the appointed hearing date (even though they were served and accepted service of the hearing). Judgment was found in our favor, but we still don't have our money back.

They totally ripped us off... Took our money and ran.
