Bosch Makes Customer Wait 6 Weeks for Warranty Washer Repai

We bought a new Bosch Axxis front loader washer. After only about 3 months of operating, the lock on the door broke and the washer stopped working.

On June 8 I called customer service to find out why the flashing light trouble code was. They told me that I needed to contact a warranty repair shop and gave me the name of the shop. The next day, the repairman discovered that the lock was the problem and ordered the part.

It is now July 15, and the part has not arrived. We have phoned customer service several times to attempt to resolve this problem with no success. They do return phone calls, their customer service reps are less than helpful. Essentially one of them told us that having to do laundry in a coin-op laundromat was not her problem. If that wasn't enough, they claim that it's only been 2 weeks since they found out about our machine breakdown.

Apparently Bosch has serious problems with its operations:
1) they don't appear to have a standard way of helping customers who have problems with their appliances. If they did, then my June 8 call should have been processed correctly.
2) They have issues with their warranty service providers who don't properly log warranty issues
3) They must have serious problems with this particular part for it to be on order for 6 weeks. (My guess is that they shipped a bunch of faulty washers and have a huge backlog of angry customers and repairs to do now.)

Given my experience with this company. I would strongly suggest than anyone considering ANY Bosch product to buy from another company. Their quality control appears to be non-existent and their customer service is ill-trained, unfriendly, and not interested in helping customer resolve issues.
