Richard Grove or (aka) Richard Allen appears to be an upfront roofer, he comes to your house and says he will get you a new roof for what your insurance company approves (this is the trick) if you will use him exclusively. Once you are approved he makes you sign a contract before getting any other bids. This is the trick... He will take 100% of your insurance money, which in most cases is $4000 to $5000 more than any other roofer would dare charge, f you are smart you should always get more than one bid, He charged several in our neighborhood 30% to 50% more than any other builder. He takes advantage of you but more importantly your insurance company. Do not let this happen to you. Do not use Allen Contracting or Grove Contracting.
