Poor Workmanship, Un-Professional Service, Theft of Coppe

I am posting a warning for anyone considering using Hanna Plumbing & Heating, Inc. Out of Marion, IA. I can see I am not the only one.

I contracted Hanna plubing in regards to a commercial project plumbing roughin which he began and was paid for only to find out almost all of the work that was done was either incorrect and/or not completed. Just a few examples here: copper water lines stubbed thru the floor but not connected to anything, sewer lines stubbed thru the floor not connected and having the wrong fall, toilet rough ins with under sized pipe we ended up having to rip the walls out to fix, the list goes on and on what a nightmare you name it, it was wrong or not complete.

In dealing with that nighmare I almost forgot to mention his employees cut out all of the 3" copper pipe in the ceilings to scrap. The customer service given by the women making appointments and running the office was less than professional as well when I called to question / confront them about the quality of work done.

I know I am / was very stupid for paying him and not checking the work I failed due dillegence and I am paying the price (attorney fees and chasing down 10k). I learned a hard lesson here check for references! No matter how personable they are. Use the internet to run a search and you will find numerous complaints... Look before you leap. I have learned a valuable lesson.

On a side note, they installed a garbage disposal for my friends elderly mother. They charged her $600 for a job they quoted at $200. When my friend threatened to turn them over to the BBB, local pipefitters/union, and the Linn county district attorneys office they quickly refunded her the difference between what she paid and the original estimate.

On a positive note I had the job completed by who I would highly recommend. They are professional, knowledgeable and hard working people.
