We moved out & they made up bogus charges. They kept our $500 deposit & still want $750 More!

We moved into this house which to begin with was pretty bad, we had no choice for the price at the time it was all we could afford. We had to put up a $500 deposit. First off there were bugs all in the house, sewage backed up in the bathroom tub, ciggerette burns all over carpet, screens missing, etc... List goes on and on. Well we had a serious family emergency my brother died in a car wreck and my mom at the same time was pretty much on her death bed.

So Mid december we moved back home. Now they are trying to get us for january rent for not giving 30 days notice. (OK IM FINE WITH THAT) Then also they want a partial for february (NOT OK WITH THAT), next they charge us for the cigarette burns in the carpet for one im not a smoker, for two im not going to smoke with my kids in the house if I did smoke...

Next they are trying to charge us for the screens, HA ya right... Next trying to get a pet deposit out of us saying that our rabbit that lived out back ruined the house (WOW THEY ARE NUTS). Also some late fee's, Cleaning Fees, just really anything they can make up. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! If you have no choice but to use them take pictures and take notes and put them in a safe or somewhere you wont lose them! BECAUSE THEY MIGHT TRY TO GET YOU LIKE THEY DID ME!

I am sure there are others out there, I know of a couple but they are military like us so they have already pcs'd to a new duty station. I just don't want anyone else out there getting ripped by these people. I even tried to pay them but they wouldn't meet in the middle with me at all. They are very rude. Once they have you sign that contract they don't care about you! They are all smiles to your face until that contract is signed.
