Deceptive ripoff and pressure sales tactics ripoff abused & mistreated

They (this guy Luke) came obnoxiously knocking on my door to my home offering to clean my carpet for free. They claimed to only have one "coupon" left, which they wanted back. So they obnoxiously and deceptively got me to agree to come into my house. He went away and came back with his "manager" who, unbeknownst to me, was "qualifying me" for purchase. I realized later I shouldn't have told him what I did, because it just made them pressure more.

Well, Luke did his presentation which was full of deception in and of itself. I could not believe I'd get the results he did with his demo machine. Or some how, his machine was rigged or something. The guy stripped my matress and then didn't have the courtesy to make it back to the way he found it.

When asking about the price, or guessing, he would say nothing. Finally when he handed me the price on one of his filters, it was a shocking $2 grand. When I said I didn't have the money and couldn't afford it, he didn't stop. We started to haggle. I said no, no, no, no. I even finally said if you can make it no interest for 3 years or more, I'd do it. But they didn't go that far, thank god. Luke could only do a little because "he wasn't authorized". Then his manager came in and gave me what appeared to be a better deal but still outrageous and for a "demo model"... After reading other's comments on line, I am glad I didn't budge.

I have also dealt with their finance company who I found out who it was after they finally left, who was involved in another scam I learned a lot of resistance from because I was ripped off there too. They are a bunch of sharks too.

Don't deal with Kirby door-to-door sales people. They hide that name and don't tell you that til they get inside the house.

I heard from Luke after telling him how I felt about his deceptive presentation that he is pressured by his bosses and he was strapped for a job, so he took this one... Because it was the only thing available.

Don't deal with kirby! I found cheaper kirby prices for new units online. Even those prices were spendy though. I thought the unit was worth $300 max. Apparently that's what the distributors pay for the units... Quite a markup. Commission for these reps is 50%!!
