Mike Cummings - Safeguard Fence - First Coast Fence Mike Cummings took our money and we got absolutely nothing. No fence, no refund, I mean nothing. Beware of this guy

We attended this years home and patio show here in Jacksonville where we obtained information about what we thought was a valid fence company by the name First Coast Fencing, LLC. We checked with the BBB and found no complaints or information on this company. We went to his web site and it seamed legit so we called for an estimate and Mike came out. He seamed to be professional and knowledgeable and provided us with a reasonable estimate. He asked for half down in order to purchase materials for the job so we wrote him a check in which he cashed the next day. HERES WHERE IT ALL WENT TO HELL! We called Mike to set up a time to install the fence and he said it would be at least two weeks before he could get started. Three weeks passed and we had not heard from him so left several messages on his phone to no avail. Over the next several weeks after leaving more messages we were finally able to contact him by using a phone number he did not recognize. He gave us an excuse he was in the hospital and told us we were next in line for getting a fence and he would contact us the next weekend to schedule an installation date. Two weekend past with no phone call from Mike. We left messages again this time saying we are going to the state attorney if we don't here from him. Guess who called the next day? Mike. We told him we were unsatisfied with his lack of communication since it had been a few months since he promised us our fence and we just wanted our money back. Mike stated that he had our money but he spent it and was working on a job at the time and asked if we would call him in a week to see if he could make arrangements to pay us back or install the fence. Thats the last we heard from Mike.in trying to track him down we found evidence that he was now working under the name Safeguard fence Inc which he has owned since 2005 and this company has an F rating with the BBB and 11 complaints filed in the last 12 months. He is no longer at his listed business addresses and if you notice his web sites he list his addresses as serving all of Jacksonville and St Augustine. No physical address. If you have had dealing with him or know where he is at please let us know as we are filing both criminal or civil lawsuits against him in hopes of making sure he does not rip anybody else off.
