Does not honor major repairs Major Ripoff Artist

This is the first time I have filed such a report. I have never been lied to and mislead by a vendor like I have been by these people and they even took their time doing it.

My wife and I struggle to maintain our home and a home for her elderly parents. We put this warranty on the parents home for their peace of mind if repairs were needed some time ago.

We have had small issues on their home and have used the warranty with minimal problems so we decided to add it to the home that we live in.

Sure enough we had a problem soon after, Only difference is ours was a major air conditioning breakdown. So we called HSA and as directed called the vendor that represents them in our area.

Long story short, HSA decided to deny our claim on the information given from the vendor. The vendor stated the Airconditioner was not the proper size for the home and that we would have to fix it our selves.

Now this is where this story gets interesting. Upon getting turned away by HSA after paying the $55 dollar deductable to the vendor and our premium for the policy ($450) we called another air conditioning company here in town, we were informed by this company that they used to be representatives for HSA but could no longer work with HSA because they were consistantly having the same problem when trying to get authorizations for work and were also told that if the claims were over $200 that they would be denied. Good news is the vendor would get to keep the $55 deductable.

The vendor stated that this company has been sued numerouse times and HSA is one of the most dis-reputable companies they have seen and will no longer work with them as the disgruntle customers would be led to call them for an explenation.

Upon being denied we called HSA to cancel the policy as direct payments were authorized by us from our debit accounts. We were told by HSA that we could not cancel the policy and was very rude.
