Okay, A guy in in a car drove up to my house i opend my door he said that "he was checking alarms for ADT and i said okay you can come in. He came in and asked me how much i paid for for my current monitoring company which was ADT i told him about $42 a month he told me that there prices were lower and will always stay the same$39.99.. So i said okay and i signed for IT, i seen a black line going through some words he said that does not apply to me thats why its marked out (He did not install a new system it was the same system ADT instaled).. So it has now been a week since i had there company, Today i accidentaly set the alarm off it went off for about 3min. After i finnaly disarmed the system nothing happend (i have a 2 way voice alarm) and usually the ADT people will come on ask whats going on but this time it did not happen. So i called my grandson to come and test my system and make sure every thing was working. After he tested it he said somthing wasnt right... So my grandson called point security and a answering machine picked up (it sounded like a cell phone). And it said "if your alarm system is going off now call a number".. So i called that # and it was a REAL monitoring dispatch company and i told them i wont to test my alarm they looked me up and said they cant find any record of my acct so i asked do they monitor for POINT SECURITY they told that they have never heard of a company by that name... So i called the guy who installed my alarm (he gave me his personal#, guy named jason) he said that "Im afraid we cannot cancel your sevice (in a rude way) i asked why he said that there is a cancellation fee (=THEY DID NOT EXPLAIN NONE OF THIS WHEN THEY CAME TO MY HOME) he didnt tell me how much but it was more the $500 so i said i want to CANCEL IT NOW! He said OKAY! Then its going to go to collections i told him this is not fair and i getting a lawer... I asked to talk to a manager he said he couldnt give out the number. So almost at the end of the call I said "i wish i called talk to a manager about you" then he says "I AM THE REGIONAL MANAGER" VERY RUDE! So i am switching back to ADT
1. They did not explain a cancellation fee
2. They did not put a new system in my home & programed the system wrong
3. RUDE!
So the main thing is that they didnt tell me about a 3 day canellation, a 2wk trial period, cancellaton fee, (they dont even have a website...
