Contracted 10/23 to renovated property in orleans parish, damaged by hurricane katrina 08/29. Lee j pedesclaux, project manager, who wrote the contract, promised me that once the house is finished, it will be beautiful. Well about three and a half months into the project and the collection of $78,1665.65 in payment by mr. Pedesclaux the work slowed and then stopped. When i called to ask about the delay, he would give me a reason and promised the work would start again, and when that didn't happen and i could not get in touch with him. On 05/01 i called the office and was told that the owner damian j randolph will be taking over the project. I spoke with damian and he asured me that the project will be finished, but for the month of may no progress was made and when i called for an explanation, he informed me that he did not have the funds to buy the material, and i told him that i have paid more than enough already to complete the job, which did not help my situation. So on 06/06/08, i gave him $5000.00 and on 08/13 another $5000.00. As of todays date 05/13 this renovation project is still not completed. All the while this mess with the contractor was going on, i had family members living in a fema trailer on the property. On 04/03 fema closed and locked the trailer and is being scheduled for pickup, and those family members are now living in the unfinished house. I have suggested to damian to refund some of the monies, and i would hire someone else to take over, which he want do. My family and i are stressed out and disappointed in the quality of the work and the longevity of this project. Thank you for taking my complaint
