We bought a new 2007 double wide and had them back to fix things like our front door and today I noticed the floor around my front door is giving away

Construction & Repair

We bought this house in 2006 it was the first 2007 off the line, at least thats what we where told. My husband is disabled and we purchased a handicap ready house, wider doors, higher sink and toliet, and a handicap shower. We had a had tie just getting someoe to come out to do a walk thru on our house because our agent we bought the house through, "no longer worked there." After alot of phone calls and no action I finally wrote a letter and got some response, we had a cracked window and they replaced the whole window, registers that didn't work, patio door screen didn't fit right and they had to adjust that twice, drawers and trim fixed.

Then we had the problem with the front door, I could see light thru it and every time it rained water woul leak thru the bottom of the frame and around the door, they came and took the door off and sealed around the door but it still leaked a little, so i got more caulk and sealed it again, I finally got it to quit leaking so didn't think much of it will winter is over now and my son happen to notice that the floor is starting to give away by the front door we got to looking closer and found that nothing outside was sealed around, the outside light fixtures the door frames and window frmes where never sealed. I am hoping my isurance will help pay for this, I am going to contact the company also. I hope this helps someone, or someone can help me. I guess it doesn't matter how long the company is in business you just can't trust anyone, they do quick fix and patch jobs just to get you by until they are no longer liable then you are screwed. I think someting needs to be done to compainies that take advantage of people that string them along until the have no fault. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
