Inconsistent, untimely, horrible customer service - I'm disappointed and don't even have the product yet. Ithica

I purchased a product from this company on a Friday for my mother's birthday; a week before I needed the package and I paid for three day shipping.

Monday I checked the status of my order and the prices online went up almost twice as much as what I ordered and was invoiced.

I spoke with customer service and was told that's just what happens in their system. I had the rep. Send me an email confirming that I would not be charged more for the product as I had already paid more than wanted to.

Also, when speaking with the rep. I confirmed the shipping time to be 3 days, as it is very important that I get my package. I was assured that the product had been packaged and was ready to be shipped and that it would be to me by Friday. (My mother lives out of town, the package is coming to me so that I can wrap it and bring it for her birthday (Saturday) there are a couple of family member counting on me to bring this as they are a part of it.)

It's Thursday at the end of the day and still nothing. I called up and spoke with a new rep. She had little to no answers to my dilemma. I was prompted to leave a voicemail three times before I got her on the phone and then couldn't get an answer.

I ended up getting on the phone with the same rep. I spoke with Monday. When she got on the phone she totally contradicted the assurance she gave me Monday. I was told that yes, even though my package was ready Monday, they didn't ship it until Wednesday so it wouldn't be here until Monday. That's over a week. I could have gone to Lowe's or Home Depot and saved money and time and heartache.

All of the sudden she is saying that she never told me it would get there on time. She also told me that there is no way they can refund me the extra money I paid for the shipping and at best the only thing she could possibly do to make the situation right is give me a 5% discount. That calculated to $10. She was only willing to give me $10 back on a $50 shipment fee.

To be fair, she did explain that the company has a 3-day shipping policy. So they DON'T have to actually get your product out until three business days after the date purchased. I was never told this. One would think that it would have come up that Monday when she assured me there was plenty of time for it to get to me. Like I said before though, everything that she and I spoke about on Monday aside from what she put in her email over billing was later denied by here after a problem came up. They were very unfair and sneaky. If all the information had been given to me up front I never would have purchased their product or I would have paid for overnight shipping. My family and Mother can now thank this company for her going without presents on her Birthday.

I sit here, haven't even gotten my product and am already extremely disappointed. I greatly advise that if you need anything in a timely manner find somewhere else to go or pay an arm and a leg for them to ship the product overnight with UPS however, even if you pay overnight, you wont get it for four days. If you feel that if you pay for overnight shipping than the product should be there within two or three days you will be greatly disappointed when it shows up five days later and Silicon Solar will only offer a 5% discount that doesn't even come close to what you paid for shipping.

On the invoice I am looking at from the right now, it states $72.60 for my 3 day shipping. Originally quoted about $45. They're only willing to refund a total of $10. You do the math.
