Southern Showcase Housing
Southern showcase will do a bait and switch on you!

We were excited about getting a new home from Southern Showcase Housing. We had ordered a 4 bedroom home from them and they were very helpful to start. We got the home and signed a form giving them permission to start building a home for us. The form said that if we tried t oback out we would owe them $5,000. Not a problem I thought. Well they got the home to the land and set it up for us. First problem is that the driveway was going on the wrong side of where we wanted it.

Apparently they new this and dodn't inform us of that. We shrugged it off and thought we were able to work around it.in the mean time Andy Mckeon (General Manager) wanted us to close before we looked at the home. This didn't sit well with me. So me and my family drove out to where the house was sitting and was able to go inside and look at it. We noticed the house was 4 feet smaller in the dining room that was on the floorplan. There excuse was that when they put the attic in it took away tha that space. I understand that but don't you think they could inform us that or at least put it on the floorplans to show that.

The last thing that finally broke the camels back is that they said that there was going to be a walk-in closet. Needless to say there was not. There rebuttle on that is that they never said that. Also the kitchen was not as big as the what they said it would be. Needless to say we were to close today at 4:30pm, but that os not going to happen. Short and sweet to the story is they will show you these models on the lot and say you will give you this and that and they don't. They expect you to except that. Please give me any help or guidance on this sticky situation we are in.
