Shoddy roof work, flashing was done with a flattened beer can! Not your typical aluminum flashing

In 1996 we hired R&R Roofing, Inc to repair our roof. During the 2 year craftsmanship guarantee period they had to repair faulty areas twice. They were not done with quality workmanship but they did hold. Two months after the guarantee period we had a MAJOR roof leak.

After calling them repeatedly over the next few days we finally contacted them. They wanted to charge $75.00 to come and look at their own work!

We called a reputable roofing company in town that has been in business over 30 years to repair the roof.in the process of the repair it was discovered that boards used in the original repair by R&R Roofing were too short and a connection was made with aluminum instead of wood. The aluminum used was a flattened Miller Lite Beer can! At that, the beer can was too short and allowed the water to pour into our ceiling inside.

The new roofers made the repairs and remitted the flattened beer can to us as evidence. They also stated that if we tried to sell the house that it would not pass inspection of the roof, as the shingles were improperly installed. We have since had our roof totally replaced again and have not had any issues.

We sued R&R Roofing only after several months of tracking down who the owners are. After the lawsuit was brought to them they tried to file for bankrupcty but were denied. During the deposition with R&R, the owner was presented with the flattened beer can and chose to settle the lawsuit.

R&R Roofing, Inc has recently began to advertise in the Louisville Courier-Journal. We feel certain it is still the same family who has dusted off their truck and are trying to make money from the recent ice and wind storms we have experienced. They have not advertised since the lawsuit, until this year.

Please be wary of dealing with R&R (Rock and Roll) Roofing, Inc. We feel like the shoddy workmanship will continue. Dont be a victim as we were.
