He ripped off his landlord, too

We had a 6-month lease for the Neals to lease our home. They paid on time just fine the first 5 months. They were supposed to give us a 30-day written notice of their intent after the 6 months. Well, that did that come, nor did our rent check come. They told us they put it in the mail twice, but it never came. We left numerous voice-mails, trying to find out what was going on. They called back twice, but told us lies both times. Now it is mid-January and they told our realtor they intent to move out by the end of this month. They claim the bills for the house were high so they shouldn't have to pay the last month. This is in direct contradiction to our contract. We are fairly sure we won't see our last month's rent.
