Both delivery and customer service are terrible Millville

We purchased a table and chairs and a sofa and chair within the last month and for each we paid extra for the 5 year warranty.

The table, dropleaf, was delivered and set up, but the delivery guy failed to remove the stapled on literature from the underside. One of the drop leaves was not flush with the main part of the table when extended, so we called for service. The person who came to repair was clearly in a foul mood, and when asked about the stuff the delivery people should have done, told us that it is our responsibility.

The sofa is a dual recliner. We tried it in the store and were careful because i am less than 5' tall and was concerned about the ease of closing the recliner. No problem in the store and of course the 5 year warranty would cover just about everything.

We had trouble - my husband is 6' tall - closing the recliners. Not all the time but enough to know it wasn't right. First guy comes and was nice but needed my husband's materials to try to repair. We were still not getting it to work so we went to the store to the floor model to determine if it was the furniture or us. We had no trouble on the display and spoke to the nice people at the store who promised us satisfaction again.

Today, the repair man came. He was rude and obnoxious. He promised to report that the customer wasn't satisfied, instead his report reads that there is nothing wrong with the furniture, it is just too big for us. His supervisor was rude as well. Neither my husband nor I signed anything so as far as i am concerned he was never here.

No one comes into my home on my dime and insults me or my husband. Period. The sales person at Ashley sold us a bogus warranty. I want my money back for the warranty and will shop elsewhere for the rest of the house.

Do not buy at Ashley, and definitely never purchase their warranty plan. The sales person revolving door and the empty parking lot should have been our red flag. I hope you don't make the same mistake we did.
