Account summary never sent and harassing calls every day

I have requested a written summary of our account to be mailed to us 4 times in writing and 8 times verbally in the last month. They keep saying they will send it, yet they keep harassing us over a "late payment." According to my records we are paid up through December 1st.

At 8:01 pm this evening William, the manager, called my home and woke my two sleeping children. When I asked where my account summary was, he said, "it doesn't matter." What is that? When I asked for his regional manager's name and phone number, he told me I could call him (Shawn), "but it's not like he'll do anything."

The harassing phone calls come 4 to 6 times a day, even when I leave constant messages for them. They are never available to talk when I call back. I even leave after-hours voicemails, as sometimes I do not have time to call back during the day. They tell me there are notes on my account about things I supposedly said when I called in, which I never did. Yet for the things I have called in about, no one seems to have any record.

Aarons gives you nothing in writing after you sign your agreement, and they always avoid doing anything in writing. You might get your monthly statement in the mail, but it will always be the same no matter whether you paid extra the month before or paid less. If you owe a late fee, it never shows up on the bill, but they want you to pay it. It is like giving money to a mystery.

Last week, when I spoke to Adam, another Aarons employee, he first told me we owed a full month's payment, then he changed his story and said a half month's payment, then it went to $40, and he ended by saying we owed $50 to keep us current until Dec 1st.

I am not sure what this Shawn guy will tell me tomorrow, or if he will even call me back.

Is there anyone out there who wants to start a class action lawsuit against Aarons Sales and Leasing? I would really be in on that. They have shady practices.

If we were not 15 months into a contract that is nearly paid off, they would have our washer and dryer back tomorrow.
