After paying them most of the contract amount (as a result of sad stories of needing gas money), they left the job unfinished, leaving without a word. Two days later, I paid another tree service $1200 from my home equity loan to finish the job to rid my yard of the tree trunks & debris. My husband and I are both 61 years old and could not clean up their mess. Never again will I pay someone up front.
