Champion Windows LEAK!

In July I had a window installed by Champion Windows. The window was a "3 Lite Slider Picture Window" (2 screens). The center, main window was scratched and has since been replaced, but that is not my complaint. Two days after installation it rained, and I noticed water in the inside window track. I called the Milwaukee store, (Milwaukee store is actually in Wauwatosa), immediately. My call was transfered to a gentleman who told me that it was normal for the windows to leak. He explained their weeping system and said if the wind blows in a particular direction water will come in. I asked him, "You're kidding... Right?" He wasn't.

I emailed the main company located in Cincinnatti, Ohio. I wanted someone in charge, I requested the President, to Email me stating that their windows leak. I've waited and have received no response from them.

Question: Who would manufacture a window which leaks?
Answer: Apparently, Champion Windows of Cincinnatti, Ohio.

I suppose I should of asked the salesman, Jon Block, "Do your windows leak water?" Because I am 59 and have lived, worked, and been in bulidings with windows all my life I can't remember a window, a new window, which leaked. Honestly, I would of felt silly asking such a question.

Now doesn't it sound logical that if a window leaks water (liquid) it would also leak air (gas)? And I'm talking cold air, living in Wisconsin, very cold air. I've never heard of such a thing, I've been in shock. I purchased a window and it leaks and the company says, "Yeah, we know."

Finally, the fact that I received no response from the Headquarters in Cincinnatti really tees me off. They claim to of been in business since 1953. How could that be? They must of sold thousands of windows, which leak, how are they still in business?

Don't buy Champion windows. Don't buy any windows that leak.
