Homecomings Financial
Tried to forclose when proof of payment being lost in mail was provided!

Construction & Repair

We mailed 2 payments with 2 different money orders to them for one payment that was late and one current one.

This was done on 6/30/08. No one from there ever called or sent mail stating that the payments were never recieved. On 8/8/08 we recieved a letter from an attorney stating we were in forcloser. When I called they informed then that the money orders were not recieved and they said they mailed a letter and tried to call. THEY DID NOT do either.

I got information from the post office where we purchased the money orders and am in the process of getting those money orders refunded. When I told Homecomings this, they honestly did not care. They kept saying that we could go on a repayment plan and they needed to know why we fell behind three months. We had not fallen behind three months.

We were told that there would be legal fees tacked on to the princapal amount of our loan but I when I asked how much I was told anywhere from 500.00-5000.00. The attorney sent us one letter. How is this legal? Should they not be required to give us an amount of these fees? I feel horrible for anyone doing business with this company!
