Charged me more just because I was not the usual paye

I was at home by myself and my mom had left for work. I didn't realize that she had not paid the grass cutters before she had left, and she did not tell me how much they usually were paid.

Two hours after she left one of the grass cutters came to the door saying that he was there to collect payment for cutting the grass and bushes. I asked him specifically what had he done, and he showed me that grass had been cut, the bushes were trimmed, and everything was cleaned up. I then asked him how much did my mom usually pay him. He said $45. I thought it was a bit much but we do have a big yard.

Well I went to my purse and got the money. Before I handed him the money, I asked him again what the price had been so that I could make sure I didn't hear something different. He stated again that it was $45, so I gave him the money.

Hours later my mom came home and I told her that I had already paid the grass cutters $45. She just looked at me and told me that it was only $30. It has always been $30 and there was no reason for them to charge more. It was their job to do the bushes and the grass. They came every 3 weeks and there was no change.

I was furious. I wanted to call them that night but figured that no one would pick up. Well, needless to say they are no longer cutting my grass. They also refused to acknowledge that they charged me more just because I did not know what was the set price. I did not get my money back.
