Unsafe living for children, unkept properties, filed judgment for money owed when we tried to make payment arrangements prio

My husband and I lived at Catalina for 19months. We signed a 1 year lease for a new 3 bdrm 2 bath manufactured home. We were happy at first. There were several old abandoned trailers that the community office said they were going to tear down and replace. They tore one to the left of us but sold the one behind us. Not that the people weren't nice but there were "several" occupants and not clean, riff raff people. One was arrested for crack. Always drinking beer at all hours of the night and would be sitting or sleeping on the lawn chairs in the morning. We complained verbally to the office that we didn't feel safe for our children or myself while my husband work. That the area was unkept. They told us, when we went to court, we should have wrote a complaint. If we would have wrote a complaint they would have mailed it to the tenants. There were several pot holes in all the roads and neighbors children always coming to our yard without parents to "hang out". At this time we had one daughter 2-3 and I was pregnant when she turned 3 1/2. We always passed our inspections with flying colors and never had any complaints filed except one "toys in yard". I had a little girl and why would I not have toys in yard. They claim that that complaint would be taken off my file.
After the 1 year lease was up we signed another years lease. There was no problem, and Sandy, the manager said she was happy that we were staying.

I had my son and we were not happy with the circumstance of our neighbors. No privacy because our neighbors kids were waiting "litterally waiting" for my husband to come outside for work at 7 am. Or kids would run over and get my kids riled up to go because we couldn't go outside without all the neighbors running to us. Riff raff next to us. No yard all dirt. Sexual offender arrested on the 4th circle.

We got the opportunity to get a large house, fenced in back yard on land contract after 19 months of living there. We went to the new manager, Brian, who had only been there a month out of our 19 month lease, and asked him if we could break our lease, make payment arrangements so we could have the opportunity to move into this house. He said NO said he would take us to court, file a judgment and put it on our credit so we wouldn't be able to buy the house. And he did. They took pictures of damages that were filed on a report when we moved in and tried to file the damages against us as well.

I went to court and told them we agreed to the amount owed for rent but not the damages. Several pictures were taken of the trailer when we moved and the judge only gave them the amount owed for rent and court cost. They lied about damages, they took pictures of someone elses house and they tried to sue us for 2700.00/ judgment is for 1354.00 Now my husband and I are trying to rent another house and they have filed it on our credit report without ever contacting us and it hasn't been sent to collections. They also filed on our credit report 2700.00 instead of what the judge gave the judgment for. Now we are going to contact an attorney and have it taken care of.

This place is an unsafe environment for families. The kids who do live there run the streets at all hours, even though there is a curfew. They steal things from other peoples property. The manager is a jerk who refuses to work with anyone or talk to anyone in a proper way. It is not worth paying to live there.
There are old trailers that should be a health hazard to the community as well.

I would not recommend anyone living there, renting there or even looking at it. There web sight shows the best of the worse there. Take it from tenants that would never recommend anyone signing a lease a lviing there.
