Faulty workmanship never corrected or completed jo

After several hurricanes and flood damage, we looked for contracting firms for several years. No one available at time. Several upper management people and other employees at job recommended Transflorida Corp. One employee went to work for them as well. After checking their crudentials through the state of Florida, hired them to do complete home remodel. They only replaced some drywall and then tried to send us outside contracted electrical and plumbers who had ripped us off in the past by taking items that belonged to us. We pulled our own permit (s) and completed what was needing to be replaced. Passed all inspections first time. Drywall was put up in 4' patch like installation and after complaining to office, had to bring police into situation as drywall firm took their remaining product out of home. When supposed crew bosses came in to correct problem each one involved was gone weeks later. Their people were told to remove & replace all ceiling fans, lights & heat pump unit. Lights & all but one fan disappeared. Heat pump unit was thrown in dumpster, drywall pieces and dust got in it as well as being dumped on by a bunch of rain. No longer worked once retrieved so had to buy new unit. Workers broke 3 windows; as well as one of our rear patio door glass was shattered. Only offered a set of doors from another job and when finally replaced one door, it was bent and wrong color. No reimbursement or replacement offered for broken windows. Had to spend extra to replace them all so they would match as we had older 3 tier style. So much damage was caused and received several letters from sub contractors wanting us to pay their bills that were already paid to Transflorida. Lots more to tell but not enough space. Could write huge book. Anyone thinking of hiring this firm... STAY AWAY FROM PLEASE!!! Can't get much help from Dept. Of Business & Professional Regulations who oversees people in this field. Was lucky enough to have the lead inspector in Brevard County to fail their work. One piece of good news but lost $20,000.00 in cost and materials (broken and our personal household items still in tact taken after being told to leave them there). Also broke 2 appliances that were fairly new and have had to replace them as well. Another contracting is going behind them repairing their major mess as well as completing what should have been done in the first place. Having to pay another $25,000.00 plus but home will never look like it did due to Transflorida. It is now a butchered product and can hardly stand to look at it let alone live in it. To anyone wanting to hire these people for any type of home improvement project, "STAY AWAY FROM TRANSFLORIDA AS WELL AS MIKE CLARK AND GEOFFREY GILL!" Don't go through what we are facing now.
